Saily earned her Bachelor of Arts in English from Florida International University (FIU) in 2018, along with a certificate in Technical and Professional Writing. During her time at FIU, she worked in the Interlibrary Loan Department at the Steven and Dorothea Green Library.

In August 2018, she began her role as a Senior Library Assistant at the Louis Calder Memorial Library, part of the University of Miami’s Miller School of Medicine. In this position, she contributed to a variety of projects, participated in the library’s marketing group, and completed an internship with the Learning, Research, and Clinical Information Services (LRCIS) Department.

She earned her Master of Science in Information in spring 2022 from Florida State University. By October 2022, she transitioned into her current role as Nursing & Health Studies, Psychology, and Biology Librarian. In 2023, she received the Systematic Review Services Specialization (SRSS) Certificate from the Medical Library Association (MLA), and in 2024, she served as co-chair of the Professional Development Committee.

She is an active member of several professional organizations, including the Medical Library Association (MLA), the Southern Chapter of MLA (SCMLA), the Association of College and Research Libraries (ACRL), and the Florida Association of College and Research Libraries (FACRL), where she serves on the conference committee.

She has collaborated on numerous initiatives, including delivering workshops, contributing to the creation of the 19th Century Female Physicians traveling exhibit, mentoring students through the Library Research Scholars Program, and participating in MLA’s Latinx Task Force.
