Looking for films?
We have films on DVD/Blu-Ray as well as streaming. All of the DVDs/Blue-Ray and some of the streaming are listed in our USearch system. Just use the search box above to look up a particular film title.
DVDs/Blu-Ray are stored at our off-site storage facility. Once you find the record for the film that you want, use the Request feature to have it brought over to Richter.

AVON is a streaming video platform providing more than 87,000 titles spanning a wide range of subject areas, including anthropology, business, history, music, and more. The platform allows users to to organize and bookmark clips, create and share playlists, personalize folders, and manage their entire collection.
Films On Demand: Master Academic Package
Films On Demand is a digital video streaming service that provides educational content from a wide range of subject areas with an especially good selection of foreign films. This collection contains more than 38,000 titles in dozens of subject areas, and the platform allows users to to organize and bookmark clips, create and share playlists, personalize folders, and manage their entire collection.
Feature Films for Education is a digital video streaming platform that offers hundreds of full-length feature films for educational purposes; focusing on both current and hard-to-find titles, the collection includes literary adaptions, blockbusters, classics, foreign films, and more. Kanopy
Kanopy is a video streaming service that provides students and educators access to a large database of over 30,000 films--including award-winning documentaries, training films, indie and foreign films, must-see classics, and blockbuster movies. Films are activated on-demand for faculty and graduate students.
Streaming videos primarily of classic and modern Hollywood films. Additional films may be available upon request by faculty for course reserves. Group viewings are limited to classroom use only.

Academic Search Premier is a multi-disciplinary full text database which includes film reviews from both magazines and newspapers.
African American Newspapers: Readex
African American Newspapers, Series 1 provides online access to approximately 280 U.S. newspapers chronicling a century and a half of the African American experience. This collection features papers from more than 35 states including many rare and historically significant 19th century titles.
Business Source Premier indexes and abstracts 3,300 business journals and provides full-text access to over 2,800 of them.

The most comprehensive index to communication journals and other materials. Includes full-text for most articles.
Humanities Full Text (H.W. Wilson)
Wilson Humanities Full-Text indexes more than 300 key humanities journals. Abstracts of journal articles are included from the spring of 1994; selected full-text coverage began in January 1995.

ProQuest Research Library
ProQuest Research Library provides in-depth coverage of the top 150 core academic subject, including 5,060 titles -over 3,600 in full text- from 1971 forward. It features a highly-respected, diversified mix of scholarly journals, trade publications, magazines, and newspapers.
S&P Capital IQ Pro (formerly S&P Global Market Intelligence)
S&P Global Market Intelligence provides media and communications business intelligence including data, news, and analysis on US and global markets for radio, television, motion pictures, and emerging technologies. The data includes financials, advertising, and consumer information.

American Film Institute Catalog - a comprehensive, authoritative, and ongoing national filmography documenting the history of American cinema, covering feature-length films from 1893 to the present. As a cornerstone of academic film research, it provides detailed, verified information on cast, crew, plot summaries, and production, covering all theatrically released films produced in the U.S. or financed by American companies.
British Film Institute Screenonline - an extensive, authoritative online encyclopedia of British film and television history. It features hundreds of hours of archival video clips, along with thousands of stills, posters, and in-depth essays, with, in some cases, content limited to UK educational institutions.
IMDB (Internet Movie Database) - the world's largest online database for information related to films, television programs, streaming content, and video games. Owned by Amazon, it features comprehensive cast/crew details, biographies, plot summaries, trivia, and user-rated, aggregated scores. It is a premier source for industry insights, including release dates and box-office, for fans and professionals alike. In particular, they maintain their Awards Central which details the nominations and winners for many awards including Oscars and Emmys.
