Get Ready to Edit!
Come celebrate International Women's Day by attending the Women in STEM Wikipedia Edit-a-Thon at the UM Library March 8th. No experience required. Training will be provided. People of all gender identities and expressions are welcome.
Enjoy free food and refreshements while making edits.
Edit-a-thons are organized events where people get together to edit Wikipedia pages. This particular edit-a-thon will focus on women in STEM. Wikipedia biographies have a huge gender gap with only 19% of the articles about women. This percentage gets even smaller when searching for articles on women in STEM. The goal for the Women in STEM Wikipedia Edit-a-Thon is to increase the representation of women in STEM for wikipedia articles.
You can bring your own laptop or borrow one from the library for the event.

- Fill out the Women in STEM Wikipedia Edit-a-thon RSVP form.
- Create 24 hours before the event a Wikipedia Editing account.
- Come to the edit-a-thon on March 8th at 1pm.
