Welcome! This guide lists upcoming events that all UM students can attend at Richter Library.

Upcoming Events:

Blackout Poetry & the Art of Erasure

April 6th | 12 PM | Flex Space B

Join us in turning old pages into poems and unleash your creativity in this library workshop!

Erasure, blackout, and redacted poetry are distinct forms of "found poetry." In these styles, poets take an existing text and erase, black out, or obscure a significant portion of it, creating a completely new work from what remains. Join us in this hands-on workshop with MFA student Evan Wambeke, UM librarians Lily De La Fuente and Elida Velado Salazar.

Join our monthly Book Club, where we chat about a popular book chosen by the club members. This is a no-pressure book club, so you can still participate and hear about the book even if you haven't read it! Everyone is welcome, and the book club meets virtually!
