Dan Roose joined the faculty of the University of Miami Libraries in 2010 as the Head of Acquisitions.  He now serves in a part-time role as Sr. Manager, Acquisitions Coordinator.  He manages the UML collections budget, facilitates access to UML subscription databases, and coordinates licensing of all electronic content.

Dan holds a Master of Library and Information Science from Dominican University, and a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Purdue University.  Prior to joining the UM faculty, he served as the Associate Dean for Technical Services at the Butler University Libraries.

Dan is an active member of the American Library Association, having held multiple committee appointments in the Acquisitions Section of the Association for Library Collections & Technical Services.  He is also a regular participant in the Charleston Conference.
