BMC Certification - Basic Instructions

Bloomberg Market Concepts (BMC), also referred to as the Bloomberg Certification, is a self-paced online course designed to offer a comprehensive overview of financial markets and the key features of the Bloomberg terminal. The online course takes approximately 9 to 12 hours to complete, with progress automatically saved. Upon successful completion, participants receive a "Certificate of Completion" from Bloomberg.

The BMC online course is structured into 8 sections, which cover:

  • Economic Indicators
  • Currencies
  • Fixed Income
  • Equities
  • Commodities
  • Stock Options
  • Portfolio Management

Begin by registering for a Learner account using your University of Miami email address on Bloomberg for Education. The University of Miami will automatically populate the institution field. Then, proceed by following the steps outlined by Bloomberg.
