José Miguel Cabrera is director of Creative for the University Libraries, where he leads visual identity, content development, exhibition design, and communications across print, digital, and environmental platforms. In collaboration with colleagues throughout the Libraries, he supports publications, promotional materials, brand and identity systems, and exhibition initiatives developed with the Exhibitions Council and Preservation Strategies. He has been with the University Libraries since 2003 and has served in a variety of creative, communications, and production roles.

José holds a Master of Fine Arts with a focus on photography and electronic media, as well as a bachelor’s degree in communication with dual majors in art photography and filmmaking. His background includes work in television and motion picture production, wet darkroom printing, and electronic media art within the photography industry.
