Anna Dimoula serves as the Scholarly Communications Librarian for the Performing Arts & Humanities at the University of Miami. Based in the Marta and Austin Weeks Music Library and Technology Center, she leads communications and collaborative initiatives with the Frost School of Music on a range of projects. Her responsibilities extend to numerous UM Library operations, including the management of information systems, support for digital platforms, guidance on copyright matters, delivery of instructional sessions on scholarly communication, and assistance with research requests from both the Frost School of Music and Humanities faculty.

Ms. Dimoula’s research interests are diverse, encompassing open access, institutional repositories, digital platforms, scholarly communication, music librarianship, music, and piano performance.

She has played a key role in significant digitization efforts, such as the comprehensive digitization of Greek artists’ archives at Nees Formes Gallery in Athens and the preservation of rare antiquarian books (16th–18th centuries) at the Public Library in Corfu, Greece. Additionally, she contributed as a Digitization Processor at the Music Library and Bill Schurk Sound Archives at Bowling Green State University, Ohio. Her experience includes positions in music librarianship at both the previous mentioned institution and the Academic Music Library of the Ionian University in Corfu, Greece.

Ms. Dimoula is actively engaged in professional organizations, including the Music Library Association (MLA), the International Association of Music Archives, Libraries and Documentation Centers (IAML), the Library Publishing Coalition (LPC), and the Association of Southeastern Research Libraries (ASERL).

Prior to her current appointment, she served as Adjunct Instructor of Class Piano at the College of Musical Arts, Bowling Green State University, Ohio. Alongside her librarianship career, Ms. Dimoula maintains an active presence as a piano performer, with a repertoire spanning from the Baroque to contemporary works, featuring compositions by both Greek and international composers. Notably, she performed at the 20th anniversary celebration of Martha and Austin Weeks Music Library and Technology Center, coinciding with the University of Miami’s centennial.

Her educational qualifications include a Master of Arts in Librarianship from Sheffield University (UK), and a Master of Music in Piano Performance from Bowling Green State University, (Ohio, US). Additionally, she holds a BA in Libraries and Archives Science from the Ionian University (Corfu, Greece), a Diploma in Piano Performance from Philippos Nakas Conservatory (Greece), and a Diploma in Harmony from the Ionian Conservatory (Corfu, Greece).
